I saw this film earlier, it’s incredible (but then I’m a bit biased, I like silent film, black and white and French people….)//but also the hairstyles were amazing.
The only bone I’d pick with it was maybe the use of voice at the end, I know it was meant to signify Valentin’s eventual acceptance of the progression of the film industry, but for me, it seemed a little absurdist in its sense of accepting the futility of change.
